Comparison: 2017 Kia Soul vs 2017 Ford Focus Hatchback
Hatchbacks of today aren’t quite like what you grew up with. In fact, you may not even recognize one on the street. Such is the case for the 2017 Kia Soul, a compact with groundbreaking design that gives you maneuverability and convenience with maximum interior space.
Because the Soul is distinct in its design, comparing it to other models isn’t easy. But we’ve done the work for you: below is our side-by-side comparison of the 2017 Soul versus the 2017 Ford Focus Hatchback.
Interior
Kia Soul
The 2017 Soul has a 101.2-inch wheelbase and is 163 inches long and 63.5 inches tall. It features 101 cubic feet of passenger volume and 24.2 cubes of cargo space with all seats up. In the rear, 60/40 split-folding seats give you added cargo room for longer items, like skis or bikes. Richmond drivers who like to spend weekends camping or on road trips will love the flexibility the Soul provides.
The Kia Soul comes available with leather seating and accents, 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, heated front and rear outboard seats, ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.
Ford Focus Hatchback
The 2017 Focus is a bit wider than the Soul, at 104.3 inches, and it’s longer and shorter, measuring 171.7 and 57.8 inches, respectively. This makes it more difficult to fit into tight spots, and also limits the interior height. All told, the Focus Hatchback has 90 cubic feet of passenger volume and 23.3 cubes of cargo space with all seats up, and features 60/40 split-folding rear seats.
The Ford Focus comes available with heated front seats, 8-way power adjustable front seats, leather-trimmed interior, and heated steering wheel. The Ford hatchback is not available with heated outboard seats, ventilated seats, or lumbar support.
